Your records and the lock

Your records are the history of your shop. This is where they live, how to keep a second copy, and how to lock the app without ever putting the records at risk.

Where your records live

Everything you record stays on this phone. It works without internet, and nobody else reads it.

This phone is the only copy until you make another. If it is lost or broken, the records go with it. Open the menu and look under Keeping your records safe to make a copy.

Keeping a second copy

Open the menu and tap Your records. There are two ways, and you can use both.

Save a copy as a file. Keep it on a memory card or send it to yourself. On a new phone, bring your records back from it. No account or internet needed.

Or sign in with Google and keep a copy online. It is off until you turn it on, copies when there is internet, and never slows down selling. You can turn it off or delete it from the app at any time.

Bringing records back replaces what is on the phone, so Sellka saves the current records first and lets you undo. Why your records are yours.

The PIN and your fingerprint

In Settings, under App lock, set a PIN to open the app, and use your fingerprint if your phone has one. Set a backup code too. It lets you reset your PIN.

The PIN locks the screen, not your records. If you forget it, turn the lock off and every record stays.

Questions

Open the menu, tap Your records, and save a copy as a file, or sign in with Google and turn on the online copy. You can use both.

Save a copy as a file or keep a copy in your Google account on the old phone, then install Sellka on the new phone and bring your records back from that copy.

Use your backup code to reset it, or turn the lock off. The PIN locks the screen only, so every record stays either way.
