Privacy policy

Last updated 25 September 2026. This policy covers the Sellka app for Android (com.nexttechtitan.bizmanager) and this website. Sellka is made by The NextTechTitan Team. Write to us at sellka@acyera.com about anything in it.

The short version

Your shop's records stay on your phone. There is no account to make. A copy leaves the phone only if you turn one on, and you can delete it from the app. Five other things leave the phone, and none of them is your shop's records. We do not sell anything about you or your shop, and we do not give it to anyone.

What stays on your phone

Everything you record in Sellka: your products, prices and costs, sales, stock, customers and their phone numbers, what people owe you and what you owe, money in and out, and your settings. It is kept and worked out on the phone, needs no internet, and is not sent anywhere on its own. Removing the app removes it, unless you kept a copy.

Your customers' names and phone numbers are yours to keep. Sellka uses them only to keep one balance per customer.

The copy you can keep online, only if you turn it on

If you sign in with Google and turn on the online copy, Sellka copies your records to Google Cloud Firestore in South Africa (africa-south1), locked to your Google account. No other Sellka user can open it. It stays off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off or delete the copy from the app at any time.

The people who build Sellka can reach where the copy is stored, as with any app that keeps a copy for you. We do not open shops' records, sell them or give them to anyone. If a court order reached us where the copy is stored, it could reach the copy, which is why it is yours to turn on and to delete.

Signing in shares your Google account's name, email address and account number with Sellka, through Firebase Authentication, so the copy can be locked to you.

The five things that leave your phone

  1. A photo of a product, when the camera names it. When you add products with the camera, a small copy of each photo (at most 384 pixels across), any words read off the packet on the phone, and the names of your product groups are sent to Google's Gemini model through Firebase AI Logic, to read the product's name. Nothing else about your shop goes with it. Barcode reading happens on the phone.
  2. Your words, when you describe a report in your own words. Only the words you type are sent, through Sellka's server in South Africa, to Anthropic's Claude model, which turns them into report settings. Your records stay on the phone, and the report is made there. We do not store the words. We keep a count of how many such requests your shop made each day, to apply a daily limit. This needs a Google sign-in.
  3. Which features are used. Sellka counts things such as a sale being recorded or a report being made, through Google Analytics for Firebase, so we know what helps shop owners and what confuses them. No figure from your shop is ever part of it: no amount, no quantity, no name. Google Analytics also receives the phone's model, Android version, rough location from its connection, an identifier for this install, the phone's advertising identifier, where the app was installed from, and, when a plan is bought, which plan it was and its price.
  4. A report when the app crashes, through Firebase Crashlytics: what broke, the phone's model, Android version, the app version and an identifier for this install. It carries none of your records.
  5. An ad, only when you choose to watch one. Where a limit stops a shop without a plan, it can choose to watch an ad through Google AdMob. AdMob receives the phone's advertising identifier, rough location from its connection, how the ad was watched and tapped, and how the app and the ad performed, and Google uses them to show and measure ads and to stop fraud, under its own policies. The ad never sees your records. You can reset or delete the advertising identifier in your phone's settings.

To protect these services from abuse, Firebase App Check asks Google Play to confirm the request comes from the real Sellka app.

Payments

Plans and the one-time purchase are bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment. Sellka receives only whether a purchase went through and what it was for. We never see card, mobile money or bank details.

When you write to us

"Tell us what to fix" in the app opens WhatsApp or your email app with the app version, the Android version and the phone model filled in, and nothing about your shop. You see the message before it leaves, and it is sent by that app, not by Sellka. We use what you send to answer you and to fix the app.

Who handles data for us

Google (Firebase, Google Analytics, Crashlytics, Firestore, Firebase AI Logic, AdMob, Google Play) and Anthropic (the Claude model, for reports described in your own words). Each handles data under its own terms and only for the purpose above.

How long it is kept

Records on your phone are kept until you delete them or remove the app. The online copy is kept until you delete it from the app. Usage counts and crash reports are kept by Google for the period those services apply, and are then deleted. The daily count of report requests is kept only to apply the limit.

Deleting your data

  • Records on the phone: remove the app, or use Start again in the app's records menu.
  • The online copy: delete it from the app, under Your records.
  • Anything else: write to sellka@acyera.com from the email address or phone number concerned, and we will delete what we hold within 30 days.
  • Your account, if you signed in with Google: delete your Sellka account and data says how, and what is kept.

Children

Sellka is made for shop owners and is not directed at children.

This website

This website counts no visits and runs no tracking. A video plays from YouTube only when you tap it, and from then YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that video. The website links to Google Play and YouTube, which have their own privacy policies.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and anything that changes what leaves your phone is also said in the app.
